Okay, so I have no idea what is going on down there anymore. I am 18, & for the past 10 months I have been with just ONE person, that being my boyfriend. I am on birth control, have been for years, but we do not use condoms. Anyways, about a month ago I started feeling pained during sex, it didn't matter what position we were doing or how slow/fast soft/hard it was, it hurt. The first two weeks it was pretty much just an uncomfortable feeling, then it started getting worse and I starter having some light cramps. Around the 18th it started getting unbearable, to the point where I couldn't get off during sex and that i'd cry during and we'd have to stop. Also, during those times it would hurt even if we were using lube, so I don't think it was a wetness issue. Anyways, we decided to lay off sex for awhile, then around the 20th my cramps started getting worse. So finally on the 25th I checked myself into the ER. They ran a urine sample on me, a pregnancy test, and I even got a pap smear about 40 minutes later the doc came in telling me I have a light bladder infection and that the swabs from my exam looked normal and even when he was performing the exam he said my cervix and everything else looked fine. He told me that within 2 days the rest of the results would be, for like STD's and other abnormalities I guess. He prescribed me some antibiotics, 4 a day for 5 days, to clear up my UTI. He said not to have sex until the results came back for my other tests in case they came back positive. Well the 2 days went by and my results came up negative, so I was in the clear for the real nasty stuff. I decided I wanted to wait a few more days to have sex, I was on my period anyways. I finished my antibiotics yesterday and I was feeling better. I still had cramps, but I was assuming that was from my period (my period ended yesterday as well.) So today, I thought might as well try to have sex, it'd been awhile anyways and my boyfriend was starting to get sex deprived. It went okay for about the first minute or two, then it started to hurt again. We were doing just regular guy on top and not too rough, yet it was still hurting. Not bad though, the pain was bearable so I thought "eh, maybe I'm just not turned on completely yet" so we kept going, switched to me being on top. Then it started hurting 2X as much, I stuck it out though because I felt bad about him not having sex in awhile. And afterwards I just laid there, and cried. I have no idea what is wrong with me or what could be going on down there, I have absolutely no desire for sex because I fear it will hurt again. Like right now I have some cramps going on and it just feels odd down there.
I guess I should also share some information from a few months ago, well back in January & February. In January I had the same thing going on, except it was much worse, I would bleed, A LOT, during sex and afterwards and the cramps were so bad I couldn't do anything except lay in bed. Now, my boyfriend is not the biggest down there lol, a few of my friends have asked me about his size and really I'd say he's right at or below average. He is curved though, but I don't see that being an issue? Anyways, we went to the hospital, same thing happened then as now, bladder infection (except that one was worse than the one I have now) and they said I had cervicitis. The results for other STD's and the pap came back negative two days later. They had treated me for the UTI & cervicitis, saying that I could have sex again within 2 weeks and that he DIDN'T need to be treated for anything. He had decided he wanted to get tested anyways, but we broke up shortly after that and I guess he decided not to get tested. 3 weeks later, we got back together, had sex, and instantly, I was in pain. No bleeding though, he goes and gets tested finally, and he gets told he has chlamydia and gets treated for it. I go to the health department, they treat me for it and I told them about how I was just in the hospital a few weeks ago and I came up negative for it, so they tested me again. Two days later I called, my results were NEGATIVE. Now, I was treated regardless anyways. But I don't understand how he could have came up positive and I came up negative considering we don't use condoms.
Anyways, guess I'm just posting this to see if anybody else has had the same or close problem? I plan on making an appointment this week to go back to the doctor, but if anybody has anything to share with me that would be great!

Oh, forgot to mention, but no I DO NOT have any strange discharge, I also don't have any itching or burning.

Hi Jess,

I'd be going back and getting re-tested. Chlamydia can sometimes be hard to detect but obviously your boyfriend has it and has passed that onto you.

Cramps, bleeding outside of your periods, during sex are all part of the symptoms.

I think that as you were treated and he wasn't at the time, he has re-infected it to you, it's bad bacteria. You both have to take the anti-biotics together and not have sex until both are cleared.

If not, you can end up with a Pelvic inflammation which can cause you to never become pregnant.

Do you know how your boyfriend obtained this STD and passed it onto you ?

He shouldn't have it, when he tested positive for it back in February he got treated for it and I got treated for it as well. Since then we have only been with each other. I don't have any bleeding going on besides my period, just cramps and pain during sex. I am making another appointment this week.
