Pain in right ovary - What is it?
Alrighty, so all day today I've had a sharp, throbbing pain in my right ovary. It doesn't throb consistently, but comes an average of every 5 minutes or so. The weird thing is that it builds like a menstrual cramp, but as soon as the pain gets excruciating, it lasts for maybe 2 seconds and then completely disappears rather than gradually going away. That's my only symptom, but it's so distinct and so sharp that I can't help but worry. I'm 23, married, and since being sexually active have dealt with yeast and/or bacterial infections (can't get a straight answer from doctors). Also, I've never been pregnant. Does anyone have any ideas? Any input appreciated. -
Probably not ovulation unless your cycle is very short. If the pain continues it might be worth getting an ultrasound to check for a cyst. Sometimes bowel pain can be mistaken for ovary pain too so pay attention to any changes in digestion.“...choose to believe in your own myth

I was thinking possible cyst also ... So an ultrasound is probably a good idea if it continues. If the pain gets worse or you notice other symptoms you might need to get it looked at more urgently
I've noticed sometimes I get pains like this with constipation as well ... seems bizarre but the pain feels like ovarian but turns out not to be
Hope you feel better soonComment
