If you have an allergy, stay away from the usual stuff. Try some without chlorine and is biodegradable. Go to your local healthfood store and look around. Seventh Generation has one.

If you have an allergy, you should try to figure out what it is. Go to your doctor and have testing done, so you're better prepared on what to avoid.

Until then, look into natural products. There are some available on the market that are 100% cotton with no chemicals. I would assume you could probably use those without any sort of allergic reaction, but it's still best to find out what you're allergic to first!
