How early can a doctor tell if you're prego?
I was at the doctor about a week ago, and it was a normal yearly exam. The next day I should have started my period and now I still haven't! I haven't taken a test yet, but if I was pregnant would the doctor have noticed something or would it been to early for her to even tell? -
I think it would have been too early. If they took a blood test they probably could tell. I wasnt even late for my period and the blood test showed that i was pregnant.I was at the doctor about a week ago, and it was a normal yearly exam. Most likely It would have been too early. There are no real signs to a doctor of knowing if a woman is prg or not in the early stages without the positive urine test or the positive blood work. I work at an OBGYN and when A woman is late for her period and her urine prg tests also come out negative .... The doctor usually sends them for blood work....
But I say why not try a test of your own at home.

It would have been too soon. Your uterus wouldn't have enlarged yet if you had only been pregnant for a week or two.
The First Response Early Detection test is the best one, in my opinion. It can detect the lowest level of HcG in your blood (that number, if you are pregnant, doubles each day). I took it seven days before my period was due and it gave me a faint positive. Six days later it was a glaring positive!Comment
