    Why haven't I gotten my period in a while-15-HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone. Thank you for reading this. I need your help to determine my problem.
You see, when I started my period in the 8th grade, I was a little late. Since then, I have never been regular. Even once, I fainted because my period was so severe. The ladies who came in the ambulance told me not to really worry, so I didn't.
About a year and a half later, I am having problems again. Its different, now, though.
My last period was in early january, and it was moderatley heavy. Before then, I was regular for about 3 months-which was a long time for me. It was not unusual for me to skip a period-once i believe I had skipped two.
But now, it is March, and I really am worried. I don't know why I have not gotten my period. May I remind you, I am NOT sexually active. I have never had sex, and do not plan to until marriage.
Also...about a week or so after my last period, I had gotten weird pains, some in random places, most in my lower area. It is just a sharp pain, and goes away fast, but can come back quickly. it especially comes when I'm laying flat on my stomach, or even streching.
PLEASE TELL ME WHATS WRONG. I'm very scared, because I don't understand. I don't want to go to a doctor. Please respond--quickly!

    ALSO

In addition, I am afraid to talk to my mom about this because she already thinks poorly of me and I don't talk to her about anything. So I don't want to go to a doctor or anything. She also probably wouldn't like the idea of putting me on BC because she'll think I'll go and have sex (NOT TRUE!!!!)
    HELP PLEASE! I'm so afraid!

I know you said you don't want to see a doctor but you really should. You might have endometriosis. Have you ever seen a doctor about painful and irregular periods?

Honsetly, I do not think that is it. My pains are not severe-they just bother me sometimes. Plus, I'm fine usually when I'm doing something a little more active.

You can go to a planned parenthood clinic without your mom to talk to a doctor and they can give you birth control which I know from experience can help with periods. You need to see a doctor because non of us can tell you what is definitely wrong.

I think planned parenthood clinics are free.
Or just say to your mum you need to see a doctor because your periods are irregular and very painful, then tell your doctor when you see her about not having a period for a few months. Your mum might actually be understanding, she's a woman so might have experienced this herself.
I know it's hard though, I can't talk to my mum about this stuff either but I've recently been having problems myself and I told her and she wasn't nasty about it, which surprised me.

Yeah..you know I think I'm just going to come out and tell her I need to see a doctor. She has known before that I have been irregular, but she always seems kind of scared, or nervous, about it.
I'm just hoping I'll be fine with whatever happens. I've been reading a lot of other people's threads and it seems a lot of women suffer from difficulties "down there." I just hate the thought that I'm irregular.. "different." It makes me uncomfortable. But I guess every woman in her lifetime atleast goes through one uncomfortable time during her menstration.
So in the next few days, I will probably tell her if I do not feel better or get my period.
Ehh. But if anyone has ANY other thoughts or suggestions, thatwould be wonderful!!!
Thank you so much--its good to know that I'm not alone. I really do appreciate it. This is an excellent site.

I know you last posted over a week ago.. Just wondering.. Did you ever go? What did the doctor say? I sure hope everything's running smoothly now. And I read that the pain stops bothering you when you're active- When I get cramps, I just go out for a walk, drive to the store, or whatever.. Anything that will keep me moving, cause I noticed that when I lay curled up in bed [ do to feel better when I have a cold] it doesn't work for cramps.. It just makes them worse, I guess it's cause my body is too relaxed. I know when you're on that time you don't feel like doing anything, but trust me, it helps.
As for your mom- I was also in a situation where I didn't want to tell mom something regarding my period, for fear that she would freak and start assuming the wrong things. One day I went and talked to her about it. I'm not gonna lie, it was awkward as hell, but she was actually very understanding about it and I found out that she also had the same probles when she was younger, so it wasn't anything I did, it's just something she passed on to me. I don't know if this helped. I'm hoping you already have seen a doctor, though..
