    Absolutely desperate for help!

Hi ladies, in need of any advice you have!

For the past 72 days (It's hard not to keep track!) I've had what I can only describe as the bladder infection from hell, except, I'm not even sure it's a bladder infection. My original test came back just slightly positive for an infection and I was given antibiotics. Since then I've had 8 rounds of antibiotics and they haven't helped at all. Twice my samples came back positive also for Staph (although the DR. believes that was a "mistake"), but the urine tests are coming back negative now, and I am still having symptoms. (Pressure and constantly needing to pee, about every 15 minutes. If I don't pee within 45mins-1 hour, I start to "leak" when I sit down.)

I have had an ultrasound, pelvic exam, tested for other bacteria and STI's and everything has been negative. I've tried taking cranberry pills and altered my diet, that hasn't helped much. I didn't receive my next birth control shot, and have tried stopping taking my Ditropan, this hasn't helped either. I have had many infections in the past, but never anything like this! At this point I am at a loss for what to do, I am waiting on my next appointment with an urologist but that is not for many weeks; any tips or suggestions or possible clues as to what this may be would be greatly appreciated as I am absolutely at my wits end here. Thanks in advance!

Have they considered chronic cystitis ? It's basically like a chronic low level uti and doesn't always show in the urine when they test it because it is basically a small level of bacteria that's in your bladder wall. I had a similar issue. Got tested for a uti and it came back positive but antibiotics didn't work and later on it came back negative though my symptoms were worse! They ruled everything out , then I went to a very experienced urologist and got diagnosed. I would suggest at least suggest that as a possible diagnosis to your doctor! At least you don't have the painful urination part- I had that and it was horrible! Good luck !

Have you ever tried to read on possible benefits of simple remedies as activated charcoal caps or poultices. There've been many anecdotes/testimonies and as far as i know it's very safe. Normally taken an hour or two after meals or medications so it does not interfere w/ these, you can do some research. We use it for simple uti's and stomache aches, well even head aches, but i read other serious emergencies aside from poisonings have been treated positively with no side effects. Let us know of any developments.
Btw, you may have heard of anion sanitary pads too. Sometimes use this when available. These are simple, not hitech remedies i can think of, and while there are many sites promoting the product, one with a dot eu where i'm copying the first benefit here for u:
      • have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antimycotic effects lasting up to 20 hours- these pads not only absorb strange organisms, moreover they create high-frequency vibrations that kill parasitic microflora.
