    Period change.

Hello, I am 20 years old and I have had periods since I was 11. Recently I noticed that my period is becoming shorter. When I was a teenager it lasted 7 days, but now it only lasts 5-6 days. Is that normal? I worry that it will become even shorter and I don't think this is good.Maybe it is a silly question, but I am concerned. Thanks!

No worries! Women's periods can vary anywhere from 3 to 7 days and some women will be irregular and only have spotting here and there. It all has to do with your hormones changing as time passes. The average period is actually 5 to 7 days. Mine are about 5 days too. They usually aren't any less then 5 though unless you are irregular. I have also noticed that whether or not you use pads or tampons will effect the length of your cycle as well.
