Unsure whats going on Downstairs
I've been checked for having HIV, Aids, STDs all that jazz... Clean. However, occasionally I find myself with these little raw spots as if I've been rubbing my skin nonstop or irritated my skin with a detergent. I don't have discharge, I have those usual itch moments every woman has, nothing out of the ordinary. I do tend to wipe myself a little hard when I go to the bathroom and Ive always had to pee alot in my life so its a lot of hard wiping. If anyone else has any theorys lemme know. -
Have your GYN or GP take a look during a flare-up, it may be something simple but it could be something more serious like Lichen sclerosus, which is treated by a dermatologist. My MIL had a similar problem and it turned out to be lichen sclerosus and it really needs to be treated regularly to ensure that you don't have problems in the future. Be warned, if you look it up it's NOT fun to contemplate, if you see any similarities to what you're feeling/seeing in your own skin, mention it to your doc so they're thinking about it when they look. If you pee a lot but don't drink enough fluids it may just be overly acidic urine irritating your skin or something else in the urine, so a urologist visit wouldn't hurt, but I'd start with the GP/GYN.
Good luck, hope it's something simple and easily treat/fixable.Comment

I googled Lichen sclerosus and it doesn't look similar, at all. Thank god. I've always gone to pee a lot, for as long as I could remember. I'm told its likely from being small or fast metabolism or small bladder lol. I'm going to the doctors tomorrow to have a check up from starting birth control so I'll ask for sure. I think its a mix between peeing alot and wiping too hard because sometimes I do to try and make sure I'm dry.Originally posted by TrixareforkidsHave your GYN or GP take a look during a flare-up, it may be something simple but it could be something more serious like Lichen sclerosus, which is treated by a dermatologist. I really think you have a skin irritation from your detergent you been using. If you been tested for the STD'S and that all negative. Maybe use a softer bathroom tissue in the feature to help not rubbing the skin to hard and causing the bumps in the future.Originally posted by RainaI've been checked for having HIV, Aids, STDs all that jazz... Well I'm glad to hear that. You need to do like I tell my little one 'Pat the front, wipe the back'Originally posted by RainaI googled Lichen sclerosus and it doesn't look similar, at all. Thank god. Try just holding the tp up against your girl parts for a few seconds and then folding it over and patting a couple of times to catch any missed drops. And like Motorguy says it could be a detergent irritation, so maybe Woolite or Dreft for your panties. Good luck.

I actually hadn't been using any for that area. I did (just a few days ago) buy some Vagisil phBalance wash, I had used it before and loved the way I felt afterwards. I'm definitely going to try the patting technique though, I think I just get in a rush to use the bathroom and to get out of there that I am too rough with myself and not realize it lolOriginally posted by TrixareforkidsWell I'm glad to hear that.
