Thick discharge but no smell and no itching
I am prone to getting vaginal infections from yeast infections and BV. I have noticed though that I am discharging this thick white discharge that looks kind of chuncky and the vaginal area is little red (excuse how graphic I have explained it) however, I am so confused. I have changed my detergent, soaps, and fabric softner to unscented with no dyes. I even recently bought new panties. I eat a yogurt everyday and cut back on my caffeine intake. I am hoping to get a doc's appt if it gets worse. Anybody have a suggestions. I have been fighting infections off and on for the last couple of years.

Itchy
So I went to the doc and got antibiotics for BV and of course it took care of it. Now I still feel itchy down there however I am not discharging anything and not sore. Does anybody have any feedback about why this happening, is this normal, is it an allergic reaction to something?? -

The same thing happened to me. I just finished my metranidizole(mispelled) last week. I was taking it for bacteria vaginosis well it gave me a rash every day with hives. Now I have thick cottage cheese too and the doctor said sometimes that happens after taking the medicine you get a yeast infection. ARgggh. So now I have to buy yeast infection meds. This sucks.

whats next
I know what your going through. I can't believe you got hives and a rash from the antibiotics. I have started taking acidophilus pills bought at the drug store over the counter. It is the good bacteria that is usually found in yogurt. It seems to have it under control for the most part. However, I am still itchy and I am not sure its the body wash I am using (but I don't really put soap down there directly), yet theres not much of a selection here (I live overseas) for no dye, no fragrance body wash. I think the body wash is softer on the body than bar soap. I am too just confused. I am so tired of being self-concious and paranoid that I am going to get an infection, and why I still feel itchy down there. Trust me its driving me crazy.
