    Really lond period

ok. i'm 16 and i've never done anything.
Normally my periods were kinda heavy but only lasted 5-6 days. but the last 2 that i've had have lasted extremely long periods of time. the one right now has lasted a month now. Is this normal?? and is there anything i can do to fix it?

i think you should go see a doctor. bleeding for a month is not normal. its normal for a teenager to be irregular, because their bodies are adjusting, but never bleed for that long.

um well we went to the doctors and i was put on birth control... and since then everything has been just fine, apparently what i was told was that everything just wasn't clearing out completely and just built up, but everything should be fine now.
