I also agree with the 45 degree angle position..
My breasts are quite large, so he always gets a mouthful when I am in this position....ahem.
But seriously, you do have to communicate. Also have you ever tried putting your back towards him when you mount him. That is also a very nice feeling. Then all he sees is your bum. Pretty nice view I am told. Just practice, trust me, they don't mind if you need too.

Oh also, if you're finding the rhythm hard try moving your knees to give your pelvis maximum movement, this is obviously very personal depending on which ways you are most flexible. It might feel better for you to have your knees well spread, or might feel better to have them more in front of you, closer together by his chest. I love having one knee by his side (above his hip area) and the other between his legs you’re facing on more of a diagonal with this but it makes you tighter (helps is your bf is on the smaller side, doesn't sound like that's an issue for you tho!). x
