    Sex after pregnancy?

    Hey,

I was just reading another thread about loss of libido in which ‘anonymouswhitefemale’ said 'Women experience their prime at 30 with a husband, and men experience their prime in their bedroom alone when they're 18', it got me thinking so i'll ask this question anew.

For those of you that have had children, how did it affect your sex life? I know time/stress issues come into play, but I’m wondering more about the physical changes. I’m 26 and don’t want to leave it much longer before I have children, by that I mean before or around 30 not next week . I’ve just had to write an essay on pregnancy and childbirth which got me thinking (worrying to start with! but that turned into pondering). I haven’t really found my groove with sex yet so my worry is that I will start having children before really getting into it. I’ve heard it can be easier for a woman to have orgasms once she’s had a baby, ..my theory is that you appreciate how good sex feels compared to the pain of birth!! It's such a big thing for a woman to think about.. then such a responsibility bringing up children. Is it so bad to want a bit of pleasure before it all gets underway?

    Thanks xx

While you are in labor sex is the furthest thing from your mind. Once that baby is in your arms you forget that there was any difficulty at all. Can't say that having a child had any effect one way or the other for me.

Obviously I am talking from the other side. Sex was definatley the furthest thing from my wifes mind during her 2 pregnancies. The Dr. actually tells you that sex is a good thing for a prgnant woman. But it is very awkward for both sides. It gets worse the further the pregnancy goes 9for obvious reasons). As far as after the birth, it takes some time before you can get back in the water. Even then you have to be careful and go slowly. My wife even had some pain when we started to have sex again. Also I noticed that the neighborhood had changed down there (but I guess after you pass a bowling ball through there that's kind of expected). But still after 2 kids my wife enjoys sex and still has the ability to have multi's. One change is that her boobs are very sensitive and most times out of play. The biggest problem for us is time. With 2 little ones running around, it always has to be at night. By that time she is tired from playing mom all day, I know it's not easy. whenever I am on vacation, it seems like I am running back to work run it's over. So you lose those spontanous afternoon or morning sessions that you had/have when there are no kids around. I am sure some of the mothers around here will be able to give you some more detailed info that you might be looking for. This is strictly from the fathers point of view.

        Thank you

I’ve asked another question on the ‘pregnancy’ section of this site, that’s the only thing that’s related between this Q and that one, I want to know how sex changes after pregnancy purely for myself. But I’m also doing an essay on empowerment for pregnant women and didn’t know if many people would see my question there, so here’s the link:

        https://www.womens-health.com/boards/pregnancy/11309-your-birth-experience-info-presentation-please.html

It’s for a presentation I have to give next Tues in front of my Sociology class. I need to find out whether women have had an empowering, good or bad experience giving birth in hospital.

        Thanks again xxx

Are heatwave and joyce the same person? Weird one is advertising a website the same as the others name
They call it PMS because Mad Cow Disease was already taken.
