The fact that he "doesn't want to hear any of it" signals to me that it may be an issue of self confidence on his part. I've noticed that guys can be pretty sensitive about their performance in bed, or lack thereof. The whole "one and done" thing may be his way of covering up the fact that he really has no idea what to do to please you. The fact that he doesn't even seem to want to learn, or listen to what you have to say, is ignorant and selfish though.
Guys seem to get a rather large ego boost from being able to get their women off. Does he ever focus solely on you during sex - orally or with his hands? Maybe you can try giving some encouragement, if you don't already. Also, there actually is a lot he can do to improve his performance. It takes practice and self control, but there are some exercises he can do that will help him last longer, if he even wants to try.
Does he seem to care about your general well-being otherwise? You can generally tell a man's style and level of attentiveness in bed by his actions outside of the bedroom. If he's equally as ignorant and unaffectionate towards you on a daily basis, then he'll be a tough one to change and I'd give him the boot if I were you.
