Is it possible to last too long?

Recently my girlfriend and I just had sex for the first time and I didn't ejaculate after about 40 minutes. Is this normal ? We had a bit to drink. We were only slightly buzzed when we started and normal after about 20 minutes so I dont think it could be the alcolhol and also I wasn't really nervous at all. Or at least I didn't feel nervous. Can anybody shed some light on this. Was it just a fluke or what ? Any comments appreciated

    Probably the alcohol.

Yep, probably the alcohol or just your mood that day or both. And it is possible to last too long. I wouldn't say 40 minutes is too intirely long as long as it was kept exciting and you changed it up every so often.

Not sure why you had this phenomenon but why complain? As long as your lady was enjoying it it's not an issue. I've had many sessions that have lasted longer than that and I ws left smiliing. Of course, if it wsn't pleasurable for her then

It's possible to orgasm without ejaculating, and ejaculation isn't necesarily the ultimate goal - the goal is to enjoy and feel pleasure so I woulnd't worry. It may happen again, it may not. Either way I don't see a problem.

Oh no, I don't like having sex with a drunk man, especially cause they go on forever. It's not pleasurable, it's tedious. Sorry.

I mean if you were both enjoying it then there isn't a problem but if one of you becomes bored or you're making it a mission to orgasm and desperately try to finish then it's not so good.
From my experience I can tell that yeah it's probably the alcohol making you go on for this long. I don't think it does anything to make you feel nervous, I believe it just doesn't let the brain work properly or let the connections work properly between the brain and sexual organs.

40 mins is nothing. Many years ago I lived with a guy who upon occasion would last 6 or 7 hours, he seemed to think that there was some reason to turn this into a marathon. It wasn't much fun. This was long before viagra and he didn't drink. If it happens often, see a urologist, otherwise don't worry.

Well, I'm not a drinker so I can't really say much. Although as for the question "is it possible to last too long", I think the answer is yes. Sometimes when my boyfriend takes a while to cum, I start to feel sore and burned out. If it was just that one time though because of the alcohol, it was probably just a fluke and nothing to worry about.

I sometimes have that problem but I don't make a big thing about it. My gf is fine with it and if it doesn't happen during sex then it is fine.
