I'm at a loss if you feel this sharpness and he's only entered, not fully inside you....and I assume from your answer you do use tampons and don't feel it then ...

have a look at this thread and in the Advance Search option at the top right hand corner, search your title of this thread for other threads.

    Hope this helps.

A good bit of advice I ever recieved was to pee AFTER sex - the uthera opens during sex and due to all the friction bacteria can enter and cause a UTI if left. Peeing after sex cleans the uthera so no UTI. Its also common with a new partner due to the increased frequency and/or intensity of sex.

Thanks Librian BUT when I wrote that I have tried EVERYTHING without medication I really really meant everything! I have heard exactly what you wrote about a thousand times, and I have been sexually active with this bf for almost eleven months now, so he is not technically "new" to my body anymore. I have done the peeing before and after sex, the cranberry juice, lots of water, and cranberry pills. It does not matter if I pee ten times after sex, if I don't take these pills afterwards along with my cranberry pills I get a uti within 12 hours!!!

And Chandlers wish, thank you again I will be sure to look that up!

Chandlers wish, do you think this might explain it? -

Pain from trigger points in the inner thigh is increased by extreme abduction of the hip (spreading of the thighs). For this reason, vaginal or pelvic pain may occur in women during intercourse in the missionary position, causing unnecessary worry about possible visceral or gynecological disease.

          Vulvodynia and Genital Pain

Vulvodynia is a burning, irritation, stinging, or sharp pain that occurs in the vulva, the area outside the vagina. This area includes the labia and the entrance to the vagina. Such pain can last for short periods of time or be persistent, but vulvodynia is usually defined as lasting at least three months. The term vulvodynia was coined in 1983; before that, there was little recognition of this disorder in the medical literature. The National Institutes of Health estimates that 10% of the women in the United States will have vulvodynia at some point in their lives.

That is all I found when I did the advanced search. Only problem is, that if this is what I have there isn't really a certain "way" to get rid of it, there are suggestions like wearing only cotton underwear, and 100% cotton tampons and so on, but that just sounds like another pain in the list of things to do, AND I don't quite understand how if this is the problem, how it affects me inside...?

I think the cotton underwear, tampons, non tight jeans, stockings, relates more so to "thrush".

The two you looked up, why not google a bit more on them to ascertain if you were to have those, what can help oliminate them? And, whether it really seems that one of those is what you have.

With the first one, I would think that you would know if you hurt yourself on the outside of the body at some stage, something you did?

It's so hard because each of a woman's body is different and there are in-deed a million different problems we go through and don't understand until we oliminate all the things that it can't be.

I just wanted to weigh in on the UTI situation. I've suffered from recurring UTI's, kidney infections, and I have chronic kidney stones. I too have to take an antibiotic after sex. I usually only have to do this if he's been away for a long time and I always had to do it when I was in a long distance relationship. However, you will get used to your boyfriend. It took me almost 2 years to stop having UTI's with my ex-husband. We were married for 8 years, together for 10, so for 8 of those years, I never had a problem. What I do with a new partner is take them as I'm supposed to for the first year, then I start backing off. Taking them every other time, then every third time, etc. (of course you should be having regular sex). Eventually you will be off of the antibiotics. Have hope on that front. Just wanted to give you my experience, I hope it helps.

When you said you get a pain, is it inside or outside of your vagina?
I have a similar problem, where my fiance and I have sex and it seems no matter how deep or shallow he goes, it feels like he's hitting my cervix. (Doesn't make sense, especially when he's not going deep at all.) :/
My doctor told me I have a tilted cervix, but didn't give me much information on it. I just hope that one day (preferrably soon) I can go back to having sex without massive pains.
