    Painful Sex

Me and my boyfriend first attempted to have sex roughly this time last year but we couldnt because it was so painful and since then we have only been able to do it a handful of times without me being in bad pain. I have been to the doctors and been tested for infections of all kinds and ovarian cancer etc and all came back clear. We were both virgins, so no previous experiance to look back on. We have tried it with condoms and without (pill protected) to see if it was a latex reaction but I dont think it is. We lube up realllly well! It just feels like its sort of burning

Please can someone tell me this is normal and it will get better? It really gets me down to the point I just sit and cry because it seems everyone else can have perfectly normal, exciting sex and yet we are struggling to have normal sex! We are 18 and I just feel (although silly and I can trust him) that my boyfriend will end up cheating on me or atleast needing to go elsewhere to get his kicks and as much as I know to kick him to the curb if he ever did, it would hurt so much =/

    Thank you for reading xx

Get off the pill. Give your body some time (as in months) to get it out of your system. See what happens.

Oh really? What could the pill be doing? Sorry if I sound like an idiot - us both being virgins it is like blinde leading the blinde sometimes!

I was thinking of coming off the pill as my libedo (sp) has completely been knocked down so did wonder if that would cause problems.

The pill. particularly as manufactured in the US it seems, is something of a horror story for women. It can kill your libido and I suspect create other problems as well, aside from clotting and such. Things such as thinning of the vaginal walls, hypersensitivity, and irritation could certainly be caused by medication.

The pill could certainly cause irritation due to the difference in lubrication that is produced within the vagina. You can go off of it and see how it goes, however if the problem still persists then it is something other than the pill.

Might give that a go then, although I am in the UK - I'm on Loestrin 20.
I was really hoping when I went to the docs it would be some infection that pills could clear up - so strangely enough was disapointed in getting results that said I was fine as now havent got a label for it!
