But on the other hand if he has hair on his arms, legs or armpit then I really do not care.
LOL most of the men in your age group haven't yet reachest their full hairiness potential. I started early and had a some bfs who were native. It wasn't until my mid 20s that I started to find myself with men who really had significant body hair. It did take a bit of adjusting to. I was never a fan of a hairy back but the LOML had one and it was a turn on because I loved him.

If my bf ends up having some later growth then I will obviously need to get used to it cause there is no way I am going to avoid touching him lol. But as of right now the thought of rubbing a lumberjack back of a burly man is not something that elicits a great feeling.

I'm not a fan of a hairy back .... I'll give that a yeck myself, but you are correct that when you love someone it's strange how your "ideal" will change.

My ex did not have a hairy chest so this has been a new experience for me and I love it.

As for the manscaping, he's done that once and I was appreciative but I am not going to ask him to do it, that's something he's going to have to choose to do himself.

I'm guessing this trend is a result of porn which most guys see plenty of even if they won't admit it. My s/o prefers the natural look though in the summer i have had her shave my back with an electric razor. I prefer a natural look on women too, with the exception of legs. Nothing sexier than a smooth leg on a woman (or weirder looking than on a guy).

Many athletes remove hair on their legs so they can tape.
The leg shaving is funny. I understand that both leg and underarm shaving are less popular in Europe that in the US. At one time here in the US, only a 'loose' woman would have shaved.
I'm light enough on the hair that when I've let it go, its not very noticable, just an underarm wisp and a soft scattering on my legs. If I get a little sun, that lightens enough that you'd have to really look to notice it.

My current lover shaves all but limbs. He says he feels more touch that way and that is his choice. Does nothing for me. Actually the stubble is a bit distracting at times. Whatever flips your trigger. I'm a what you see is what you get woman.

I shave the perneium and scrotum and every thing else up to the chest. I leave a small patch of hair above the shaft. I have been doing it for years. I also trim all my body hair to make it look uniform with the shaved areas. In the begining my wife freaked, but she got use to it. After about a year I started to re-grow the hair back and she said she liked it smooth, except my chest, and wanted me to shave it again. I find it much more comfortable to be shaved.

I definitely appreciate the attention my boyfriend gives his private areas. He doesn't shave completely and trims the rest. I think this gives the areas easier access, a more welcome environment if you will He has hair on his chest and stomach that I absolutely love to play with. I do not find it appealing on a man to see an entire shaved body, though obviously everyone has their own personal likes and dislikes. I think people should do what is comfortable for them, and then take into account what their partner may like.

Personally, the only thing that really makes me cringe is a hair back...it's weird when you see a gentleman in a swimming pool with his back hair waving ever-so-gracefully with the current...yeesh.

I agree with WC - I like my men to look like MEN. My boyfriend trims - chest arms, private areas - but I kind of wish he wouldn't. He's not a particularly hairy guy anyway, but he says he feels "neater" when everything's trimmed. I wouldn't mind if he let it grow, but, hey - not my hair.

At least he doesn't shave his armpits. That would really weird me out.

I wonder why this seems to be such a big turn off. Why does it matter if it's on the back versus the front? My guess is that it's a trait generally associated with older less desirable men and something you'd never see in a movie on an actor women find attractive. I think a lot of our tastes and preferences are tranfered to us from others in our peer groups.
