I wonder why this seems to be such a big turn off. Why does it matter if it's on the back versus the front? My guess is that it's a trait generally associated with older less desirable men and something you'd never see in a movie on an actor women find attractive.
Its a huge turn off for me because I see back hair, or a hairy chest for that matter as a mess. Stupid reason yes because a guy does not get to determine how his genetics play out but hair is just gross to me. But I guess what turns me off more is just when it gets all curly long and thick making it look like something could be hiding in that thicket...but of course that is a grandiose exaggeration as obviously not all guys are hairy like that lol. I just do not like the idea of rubbing him and my finger literally being used as a comb or a hair getting stuck under my nail.

I don't see men that hairy very often, but when I do, I keep expecting them to be wearing one of those giant gold medallions on a chain with their shirts halfway unbuttoned.

Back hair isn't a deal breaker for me by any means. My first boyfriend back in high school had it a little bit - he was of Scottish ancestry and had quite a lot of body hair! But he was the sweetest guy, even if he hated wearing sweaters because he already had one built-in.

I'm not sure I ever had a particular preference in terms of hairy vs. not hairy.

You can have the best of both worlds by shaving the penis and sac and leaving a pubic hair line above. In this way it's easier to keep clean and you feel your partners soft hands on your bits right through to the skin. If you're hairy I think you don't benefit from the "female touch" as much. I do understand why some women don't like it all shaved off though. They like a man to be a man and not a young boy. And anyway, if you shave completely, you can look like a plucked chicken!

And if you do not shave at all you can look like a swamp thing! lol

Its all a matter of what you are used to. I prefer hair. In my youth, 20s and 30s, this just wasn't the fashion. I remember in jr high there was a girl who hadn't yet hit puberty but was a bit precocious and was trying to get a certain boy interested in her. She got him off somewhere and they got to exploring and he simply freaked out because she had no pubic hair. He thought that was simply disgusting and would have nothing further physical to do with her becasue she was still a child.
In truth I think that is a healthier attitude.

Oh god, I remember once "down below", I shaved the whole lot off, and it was horrible. I felt like I was 12 again! Since then I have always trimmed and shaved a little.

Men, i like when they are trimmed, agree with WC, I like him to look like a man, not a boy!
Hairy legs and arm pits? I don't mind them, because you kinda expect a man to have them! And I love a man who has hair on his chest but not an excessive amount.
Hair on the chest area has always been a turn on for me, although hairy backs are a definate NO!! Couldn't imagine if my partner had a hairy back and I was giving him a back massage! I'd have to wear gloves if that was the case.!

Big fan of manscaping over here. No one likes to get hair in their mouth!
