I can come through masturbation, does this mean i can come through sex?

when i masturbate i can come in under 2 minutes. but when i have sex with my boyfriend, ive only ever come once. does this just mean we need more practice together? more clitoral stimulation? i know its physically possible, since i can do it to myself, so do i just need to get into a groove with him?

It means it is most likely psychological. How long have you been dating? Do you feel relaxed and comfortable with him, both in and outside the bedroom? Does he pay lots of attention to you and make a genuine effort to pleasure you?

we have been dating for 6 months. i love him dearly and he loves me too. i feel extremely comfortable with him, more comfortable than ive ever felt with anyone. and he does pay a lot of attention to me, he always puts my needs first. our sex has lasted an hour and a half at times, with him holding off in an attempt to please me. so all around...he is perfect

Might be position, friction, lack of friction, one thing or several things.

Like every coach you've ever had in your life has said "practice makes perfect" to which I add "so practice a lot!"

There is a book that I'd recommend too; She Comes First by Ian Kerner Ph.D

thank you yea it was really freaking me out before, but i realized that i know i physically CAN because i can do it when i masturbate and i did with him once. so ive tried to relax about it. its just strange because the sex is really good and i love him. but yes, practice does make perfect

I found that I could always come easily with masturbation, but had a difficult time with a partner. Then I discovered that the only reliable position is for me to be on top. My advice would be to play around with different positions to see if one works better for you.
