Why does masturbation feel better than sex

when i masturbate it feels better than my boyfriend making love to me.
    Is this normal?
My boyfriend isn't bad AT ALL at making love to me but for some reason i found that no matter who i am having sex with, me masturbating and orgasming feels better than what the men make me feel.
Is this normal? How can i make sex feel better than masturbation?
Has anyone else felt this way?

You might be too used to Masturbation and the feeling of your own touch. To experience the sensation your fantasy world can give you and know how to bring yourself to orgasm when and how you want to is something you have become accustomed to enjoy.

Foreplay and talking is the key. Talk to your partner about what excites you and what to do when he is performing cunninglingus.
Try and create a relaxed setting, you may need to get away and find somewhere quiet. Perhaps introduce some massage oils, some good music and not engage in full intercourse until you are satisfied from the oral aspect of things...........
I am going to tell you what you don't want to hear!
Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't

I found it took me a really long time to be able to have an orgasm by any means with a man. Not only was I so used to the exact sort of touch I gave myself... but I was using a vibrator a lot of times. Are you using a vibrator? ... Seems like it made me desensitized to sensations going on there that weren't exactly like I was used to.

I found the less I masturbated or used a vibrator.. the more I could feel with my partner and the closer I was to orgasming with them. It took a lot of time.. patience.. and sweet, sweet practice before I was able to get there.

No one knows your body better than you do, so this is not a surprise.

Speaking as a man, the same can be said for us. It's difficult to reproduce the grip or the friction we feel when masturbating.

The only thing I can suggest, like my friends above before me, is to stop masturbating for a while and replace those feelings/sensations with the feelings/sensations you get from your partner.

I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Masturbation is a solitary experience in which you are seeking orgasm. You have full control and immediate feedback. Yes the orgasm is intense and usually very quick. It is the fast/junk food of the sexual banquet.
You can live on it- but it isn't healthy or satisfying. Think seven course banquet for making love with another person. Which isn't to say that the occassional "quicky" isn't wonderful. Like the other posters said; if you eat the fast food before your meal- it won't be as tasty.

No, I don't use a vibrator. I can orgasim with my partner but its not the same kind as i do with myself. Its very odd. But i'll take the advice you and every one else has given and steer clear of masturbation and only feel my partner. We don't have sex to often so maybe if i stay clean of anything until the next time we have intercourse it will be much better, Not that it isn't already good or anything. Thank you for the advice (:
