    Orgasms and pain

I always have pain during intercourse. There is a sharp pain when he first penetrates me, and more sever pains if he hits my cervix. For me there is a definite connection between orgasms and pain. If I have an orgasm with no pain, it is a mild one. The more sever the pain the more intense the orgasm.

The most intense orgasm I ever had was 4 hours ago. We hadn't had sex in 2 weeks and hubby got carried away. He was banging my cervix hard on every stroke. The orgasm was so intense I almost passed out and lasted so long he thought I was having a seizure.

Is it just me or is this normal?

You really need to find positions so that he doesn't cause as much pain. Psychologically you are tying pain and pleasure together. Pleasure should be obtainable without pain. Probably the pain causes your muscles to tighten up which heightens the orgasm as a side effect. If later the amount of pleasure decreases, the major component of your sexual encounters will be pain. Then you will stop wanting to have sex. Your husband needs to learn how to get you to orgasm before penetration so your cervix is in a better position for sex. If this means expanding beyond his current style, then that is what he needs to do. You really need to tell him about the pain, because he probably doesn't know he is causing you to have it.

I agree with JNS but wish to add, that some women have a tilted cervix, this is not always the case as in full time but it can occur and when it does, any deep penetration straight on hurts, as JNS said, when you feel this pain you need to find a position where it isn't hitting the cervix, ie) on the side on those occasions ...

You said the pain was severe, that I would be careful with since it could mean tissue is being damaged. Maybe talk to a doc about it. There is definitely something to be said for some pain adding intensity to pleasure. If that is what you like I would suggest learning more about it so you can be sure it's done in a safe way. If you need to change the way you have sex and would miss the pain, there are other ways to get it that you might even like better.
