trying to add some spice to my relationship ;)

so my boyfriend and i have been together for nearly 3 years now (our anniversary is august 30th) & have a fabulous sex life . . . we try to make time for eachother at LEAST three x's a week, have no problem achieveing orgasms & are genuinely attracted to eachother on a mental, emotional & physical level.

however for our 3 year anniversary, i would like to step out of the box and do something exciting for him. we have experimented with some beginner toys, movies & i like to dress up for him sometimes, but i want to do something out of the ordinary to make it extra special. the only problem i have is i am overweight & self - concious about my body in the bedroom, although i know he loves me regardless and he says it does not change his attraction for me. this limits how comfortable i am in trying new things with him . . .

do any of you fabulous ladies (or gentlemen) have any tips or tricks to help spice things up with my boyfriend for our anniversary that will allow me to be comfortable & ENJOY myself instead of worrying about how i look naked? i am pretty much open to anything so any comments would be appreciated

First of all, when he says he is attracted to you, BELIEVE HIM! In particular if he thinks you are beautiful and sexy don't try to convince him otherwise - it really is what he thinks, and what he wants to think.

Has he given any hints of things he would like to spice things up? Its so difficult to suggest without knowing what both of you like.

Maybe you can solve both your issues by blindfolding him, tying him to the bed and then doing all sorts if interesting things to him - very slowly for a l-o-n-g time.

I agree with rcoreyus. And, yes, blind folding is very sexy. Him not knowing where you'll strike next is most likely to heighten his arousal. I'm extremely self conscious as well, and my bf also tells me how beautiful he thinks i am. All you can do is believe him, and stop trying to convince yourself that he's just saying it to make you feel better. If he didn't think you were beautiful, or had a problem with your body, you probably wouldn't be coming up on a 3 year anniversary, congrats on that btw =). I don't know if you tan, but that makes me feel less self conscious about myself, and spending a little extra time on yourself after you shower, like fixing your hair and makeup, and applying lotions and perfumes, can help as well. He'll notice and you'll feel better. As for spicing things up, another option would be going somewhere outside of the home. Then, its not just switching up positions, but atmosphere as well. It's always fun to go somewhere outside, or somewhere you're not suppose to

i never considered blindfolding, but that is a fabulous idea! we're pretty open to anything as long as it's not too kinky (i don't think either of us could get into bondage or anything crazy like that). i'd like to experiment with some toys but some of the things i saw at the sex shop were a little scarey lol. i do have a vibrator & he really likes to use that on me, but i'd like to try something a little more erotic, but nothing that looks like it could spring to life & try to eat me haha.
