Well I finally dropped the bomb and asked him to go yesterday (along with clearing up of his past. He promised to tell me all the truth as long as I do the same). Turns out he's only had sex with one person and it was protected. The other girl didn't get far with him. And it was last year. That's why he insisted he has nothing and didn't want to go. The reason why? Because he's embarrassed. Not because he's scared of the procedure I guess since I reassured him it's nothing more than just blood/urine tests. He just doesn't like going to the doctor, especially not for that reason.

He asked me, "What am I supposed to tell the desk?" And that's a good question I thought... Which made him give me that, "ummm yea!" annoyed look. Cause he's obviously too embarrassed to be like, "I'm here to get tested for STD's" For me, I'd tell them something vague and let the doc know the rest. The receptionist doesn't need to know. But for me it's easier cuz if I told front desk, it would be confidential over phone. He's choosing to go into a walk-in clinic cuz he wants to avoid his family doctor.

He told me has definitely isn't happy about this, but will go for me. So a good thing came outta this... it just killed the entire atmosphere. I started crying after he got moody like he's ignoring me. He was worried about going alone at first and I told I'll be there too if he wants. Then after he shrugs me off and goes, "whatever, I'll go alone." So he's giving me a bad attitude, which hurt. But once he saw me crying he comforted me and said he's not upset or mad at me. He's just really not looking forward to this.

He knows I'm not accusing him of anything cuz we cleared up his history and that this is for health reasons. Though he did get a bit offended when I asked him to show me the results once he gets them. I countered with me showing him MY results but he scoffed it off like he questioned my trust for a minute. And that I'm making such a big deal. After just relaxing me, right away he said he wanted to take me home. And I thought right then, that's usually the sign of him not wanting to see me right now and that he's mad. Then he elaborated that he'll get tested the next day to get it over with and not have to think about it anymore so he'll take me home early.

I'm still standing strong on this, but that doesn't mean I don't feel depressed/terrible.

I'm sorry he's turning this into a trust issue for you. It really shouldn't be a battle at all. You're taking care of yourself, and he should respect that. It's respectable.
