    Herbs that increase sex drive?

My sex drive/libido has always been extremely high all of my life. I started taking birth control about a year ago and for the past 4 or 5 months my libido has diminished. It makes me so sad because I used to enjoy sex so much and now I don't even crave sex anymore. It's horrible.

I've been reading about some natural herbs that can increase sex drive in women, have any of you tried them?
I want to take them, but I want to make sure they do not interact with my birth control and I want to know what you guys think about them.
Please help! Any information is appreciated!

There is no such thing that increases sex drive. If there was it would already be available in prescription form and it would be making a drug companies billions of dollars. Companies want such a thing to exist but there is no possibility of it occurring because all women are going to respond differently to different things.

Anything you read about a magic cure or magic pill or magic method is a lie. Online companies are the worst for this as they will say anything to get your money so they will add flashy banners and false information (then refuse to support the information with anything scientific) to their websites to see if they can get you to buy their product. Be warned many things are mislabled because those online sources could care less about keeping you safe, so consuming their untested product can land you in the hospital. As well taking random things, especially based on internet lies from scam companies, will interact with your already used prescription medication. A herb is still a drug and it will cause side effects of which no one knows what can happen, so taking something random can again based on drug interaction land you in the hospital.

Another factor is the idea that certain foods are aphrodisiacs, this is largely just a consumer label put on things to sell it but if there was a chemical reason it would require eating a ton of the food to get anywhere libido wise since the chemicals responsible (possibly) are in low concentrations. Like eating pounds of chocolate may increase your libido but having a small square will not lol. The other problem with foods as aphrodisiacs is the placebo effect, eating something and no reason scientifically for it to work but people believe it does...this is the placebo effect. Not that it is a bad thing if the placebo effect happens because you may be aroused lol but it is still a possible reason for being aroused. So I mean you could eat a plate of oysters to see if your libido will bounce back for the night or some bars of chocolate but there is no guarantee of any libido increase...the only guarantee is a yummy snack lol.

The best thing you can do without jeopardizing your health is to ask your doctor if you can come off the birth control and use another method. Oftentimes it is simply the particular birth control pill not agreeing with the body and it can be as simple as switching to a different brand. Other times people are worried of any drug in general so they will ask their doctor for a surgical birth control such as an IUD. Other than that your only other options are to start exercising, eat a good healthy diet, and have sex more so that you can start to want it more again.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

      Everything IAS said is true.

Zestra is the only herbal stuff that is clinically proven to helps with female sexuality, it is even recommended by physicians. But it only increases sensation, has no effect on desire.

Ask your doctor for a different birth control. There are several different doses and ingredients. You can continue trying different things untill you find something that works for you. The new pills actually have greater impacts on desire than some of the older stuff.
