    What happened to me?

I met two of my gf's in a bar for some drinks on Wednesday night and we bumped into this guy that my friend had met before.

Long story short, I was a complete idiot and took cocaine from him and so did my friend. We went to this after hours club with him and then for some stupid reason I decided to invite him back to my house.

We carried on drinking and taking coke but I don't really remember what happened. I woke up stunned and confused at 7pm last night naked, with the guy in the bed beside me. I have no recollection of what happened at all. I don't know If we had sex or not.

This is the lowest I've ever felt in my entire life. I don't know why I put myself in that situation or why I did cocaine. I really messed up and now I've gotta pay the price. I'm going to get an STI test on Wednesday just to be sure but I'm just so confused and scared right now. I have this horrible feeling of impending doom in my stomach and it wont go away.

Best thing you can do is get tested for STD and Pregnancy ( give it a week to 10 days ) so if either are prevalent it will show up.

    Next, Learn From This !!!!!!
Don't put yourself in this position Ever Again. Learn to not Get Drunk and Bar Hop. It could have been Much Worse. There Still may be consequences from the Choices you made. Deal with those if and when they arise.

Hopefully this " Scare " will sink in and you will mature/ grow up from this lesson. Respect Yourself and your Body from now on.

    Good Luck & Stay Safe

I know I messed up, really really badly. I hate myself so much right now.

I'm going to the clinic on Wednesday to get an STD test as it's Easter and that's the first time they're open. Can I do a pregnancy test then too or is it too soon?

I've definitely learnt my lesson, I just hope there isn't anymore consequences to deal with.

It will be a while before you can do a pregnancy test. In the mean time, take the morning after pill. They are pretty expensive, but worth it. They keep them behind the pharmacy counter - you have to ask the pharmacist for it but you don't need a prescription.

I am going to go get Plan B today as it was just over 24 hours ago so I think I can still take it for up to 72 hours.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully I will start to feel a little bit more normal soon.

Get another STI test done after about 4 weeks...HIV won't cause seroconversion until several weeks after infection. In other words, you could have gotten HIV/AIDS and your test will still turn up "negative" for a few weeks.

Please don't do something stupid like this again. My cousin also has a habit of taking hardcore drugs like coke and opium and he is very sexually active and I worry about him.

I was recently in car accident and I was not wearing my seatbelt and came away with just a minor laceration on my forehead. I was lucky, and I too "hated" myself for being so stupid.

            LEARN from it.

oh god, it can take 6-12 weeks before you can get tested for HIV. So I've gotta live in fear for another 3 months. I actually just want to kill myself right now. I can't believe I allowed this to happen.

You are a human being and you make mistakes. You are not the first person to have taken cocaine, not the first person to have gotten drunk and made a poor choice in drinking/drugging companions, and certainly not the first person to have woken up with an unwanted bedfellow. I'm not saying this to minimize your feelings, but to let you know that you're not alone and you're not the worst person in the world, by far!

There's a BIG possibility that you could have ZERO consequence of these mistakes ... other than the terrible doom you're feeling now. You're being proactive and immediately trying to find whatever consequences there might be (and avoid some of the ones you can!) That's great!
Is there any way you can discuss this with the man you had sex with? Maybe less happened than you think, or maybe he'll be honest about his sexual infection history. Obviously, still get tested. But he might have information that will make the next 3 months less hellish.

HIV will cause major changes in a person's life, but it isn't the death sentence it was more than 20 years ago. It can be treated to keep it inactive, unlike a lot of other chronic conditions.
