    Pain when aroused?

First of all, I'd like to say that there's absolutely no way I could have any sort of sexually transmitted disease/infection or anything like that. I am a virgin.

Okay, so, I'm very much in love with my boyfriend. We've known eachother for a long time and have always had feelings. We have not had sex yet, but we want eachother very much. We've talked about it many times, told eachother how badly we want it, but we are definitely waiting.

Lately we've been having some issues. I've noticed that when he does make me aroused... it hurts... in the area of my clitoris. I feel like I want him just as much as ever... and I know he wants me too, but I can't get this certain issue (having to do with his sexuality) out of my head. I feel pain down there every time we discuss sex, or he gets close to me. I love him and want him to be close to me, and even though we're waiting I WANT us to turn eachother on. But I just keep thinking and worrying about this one issue, and every time I do... ouch, pain. I don't understand why it's so painful. I know it's connected to my emotions, but until this past little while I had no idea this was possible...

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had this sort of thing happen? I've never heard of this before... it really does make me feel like some sort of freak.

This is because you are so aroused. When you become aroused your clitoris will become engorged with blood. That builds a 'pressure' of sorts and hence you feel that ache, or dull pain sensation. If your clitoris then rubs on your pants or he rubs you while you are aroused the stimulation is basically so great that it becomes painful.

What is the issue with his sexuality you have?

Our sexuality is very much connected with our emotions, cultural upbringing, social issues, etc. Sometimes these non physical factors can affect our sexuality more than the body itself. Your body is reactiving to this emotional issue and venting in pain. It happens to most people all the time. You know that sick/nauseous feeling you get when you are nervous, well its not that something physical in your body is making you sick, but the mental aspect of being nervous is causing a physical realtion in your body. Similarly, the emotional issue that you mention is coming out as a physical response.

You are not a freak. Its just the way your body works. You need to resolve the emotional stuff and it will go away. But don't wait too long because even thought its not a physical cause, it can become one if you do not take care of you mental situation.
