A friend of mine met a girl years back who was an exceptional catch and he treated her awfully (he wasn't physically or emotionally abusive though or he wouldn't be my friend) she eventually left him and met someone else. About a year later he showed me her new FB picture which was of her and her new BF. He wasn't much like my friend , he was a bit more 'plain' and looked less 'bad boy' but he was one of those guys who you could tell just by looking at him that he was 'nice'. My friend was throwing a 'pouting fit' and said to me, "well what's he got that I haven't, she's well out of his league" (once he came to his senses he tried to get back with her but it was MUCH too late) and I calmly said, "her, and you helped him, she'd still be with you if you weren't such a tool."

It sounds like it was his loss now anyway (the A-hole's). I am right in thinking you may be more angry and resentful about what you did with the A-hole more because (you are now able to realize) it was him manipulating you as opposed a mutual decision based on love and respect? No real man pressures a woman - especially a young, innocent and potentially vulnerable one - into doing anything she doesn't want to do in the bedroom, or anywhere for that matter. Just remember it's idiots like that who paved the way for your husband, the A-hole has made you appreciate him all the more.
