How do I go down on my boyfriend for the first time?

My boyfriend and I have been dating a while and all we have done is make out so far. However, I really want to go down on him because I know he wants me to but he is too nice to ask me (: anyways, my question is: how do I approach it while making out? Like can I just kind of unzip him or what? And how do I stop being so nervous!?

Go about it really slow. Start kissing him, then expand your kissing to his face, then chest, arms, stomach, legs, knees, thighs and finally zero in on your target. Spend time exploring, squeezing and kissing. Take off clothing as needed. He should love all of the attention. He will tell you if he wants you to slow down or stop. This is no different than a guy exploring with a girl (something I know from doing). If you take enough time, a lot of your nervousness should dissipate.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

I'd also add the information to look up how to do it properly, this will also give you more of a look into what you will be experiencing. And while in the midst of it, listen to him; any sounds he may be making that will let you know he likes what you are doing. Or even ask him "does this feel good? tell me what you need." Communication is key, especially with oral. Look up at him and make eye contact, let it be intimate. Watch his reactions and enjoy seeing him enjoying what you are doing for him.

Also, some females fear the males hands on their head, if this makes you nervous, then move his hands off of you and place them to the sides of him, so he can grip something else. Tell him to just "sit back and enjoy". Later you can tell him that it makes you uncomfortable and you'd prefer him not to. This is usually something to speak about before hand, but you had stated he's too shy to speak of such things.
