I can't really tell the tone of the original post - do much better face - to -face than with expressionless words. If the original poster is uncomfortable with the idea, I agree that she shouldn't do it.

pixie, if you are truly uncomfortable, you should absolutely not do it. you will feel terrible about yourself and it would not be worth it. BUT if you are actually the one that wants to do it and are afraid that society will judge you and that you are supposed to be a good girl and blah blah blah ......... then you and your husband should have an in depth discussion about what you are going to do what you are comfortable with what you are not comfortable with and to make sure that if one of you is uncomfortable for a second it stops. 3somes and swinging is not something that anyone can just decide to do. you really need to do a lot of soul searching and make sure that you are doing the right thing. you should never jump into this scenario to "spice up" a lacking sex life, it will not fix it. i hope that you are able to come to a decision that keeps YOU happy. your husband should not argue or pressure you to do this, if it is something that you want to happen you have to want it to happen. DON'T do it for him only.

Isn't there some way to compromise with him on this fantasy i.e. a rubber stunt **** to substitute for a second man? His pushiness and inflexibility sounds like a royal pain, but there must be a way to resolve this between the two of you.

Bellabae's response (#12) is a really good one
