    Question for the men...

I am planning on having sex soon and I just have a few concerns.

How is the transition from masturbation to having sex usually like? Apart from the emotions and the fully body contact, is the sensation of vagina-on-penis different from that of hand-on-penis? I've been masturbating daily for several years now and am 30 years old.

I find that the more lubricated I am during masturbation the harder it is to cum and also the less pleasurable it is because more lube means less friction. Wouldn't it then be nearly impossible to cum inside a vagina especially since you're supposed to have sex when the girl is at her wettest?

Also, can the vagina offer the same tightness and pressure that I can with my hand? Will the stimulation be enough? Is there any possibility I won't be able to cum? Is it likely I'll cum to quickly?

    Just a little worried.

I don't masterbate so I can't offer you any personal experience, however I'll do my best to help
My ex used to masterbate a lot, and he would always ask me to give him a hand job before sex. I wasn't very good so he usually ended up doing it himself. Some couples find it a complete turn-on to masterbate together before sex (not me, personally).
During sex: If you're wearing a condom, you won't notice the wetness as much. Some girls get more wet than others. A vagina can certainly offer the same tightness and pressure, I would think it would offer more.

I’m Hanna’s fiance weighing in at her request. :-)

First, as to wetness, tightness, and pressure: masturbation, at least in my case involves pressure points where my fingers are holding on to the shaft of my penis. As my hand moves, so do the pressure points.

With intercourse it’s totally different. When I’m in my fiancee’s vagina, there’s a much more uniform pressure and very noticeable tightness as her vagina “hugs” my penis. There’s a lot of warmth, almost a hotness, as well, which is a huge turn-on. If she’s properly wet, it’s very slippery, but this doesn’t reduce the heat or tightness any. If she gets too wet, which sometimes happens near the end of her pills, it can cut the friction down too much, but the simple answer is to use a bath cloth to dry off a little (my pulling out and wiping my penis is the easiest way to do that).

The main point though is the question you started off with, i.e. you’re transitioning to sex, and there is a lot of other sensation and emotion going on that you don’t get from masturbation. That makes intercourse totally better than masturbation even if the stimulation of your penis isn’t what you’re used to. In my case, the sensations my penis get from being inside Hannah are WAY better than anything I can get from masturbation, and even if that wasn’t the case, the sheer fact that it’s intercourse with all of the emotion and sensations you mention are enough to guarantee that I will get to orgasm in her vagina with no trouble (unless I’m especially worn out or something unusual like that). In fact the usual trouble is the opposite, holding on until she’s satisfied. That may be a problem at first, or whenever you start barebacking, but you will learn with experience.

Bottom line: try not to worry. Just relax and enjoy yourselves and nature will take it’s course.

So even if the girl is not a virgin, she will still be tight enough?

Do I have to actively try to last longer or is this a passive process that just happens to all or most men, without them trying? Bit of both?

a_dub. We are all different and it mainly depends on nerves, feelings, emotions. How are you planning on having sex? With someone random, or someone you have feelings for because that will give you the answer to your question...

Well there is a girl I'm attracted to and that I see around. I'm talking to her and she seems cool. Its by no means a done deal. Still working her. I figure with a cold streak as long as I have...I'm bout to get laid at some point.

              Hannah's fiance here again.
Hannah is the only girl I've ever had sex with, and she was a virgin too. She has stayed tight the whole time we've been having sex. I don't know if other girls are looser or not naturally, though, but it's possible to make the vagina tighter my contracting her muscles.

As for lasting longer, it's both. Being in her vagina was really overwhelming at first and it took me several weeks to get used to the extra sensation. I wasn't using condoms since she's on the pill, which definitely made a difference based on the few times I've ahd to use them since. So if there's too much sensation, you can use them. But it's also a matter of learning my responses and hers as well. I have learned if I keep relaxed down there, I can last longer than if I stay tensed up, which is what I instinctively want to do. It's just a learning and experience process.

I just made the switch to sex a couple of weeks ago. If you're worried that you won't be able to come, I can safely say worry no more. :-)

All I can say is that being in a vagina is the most exciting thing you can imagine. Hot, slippery, insistent pressure on your penis while your girl is pressing and rubbing herself up against you. The emotional high alone is enough to make you come. Masturbation isn't even in the same league.

                  Best of luck!

Frequent masturbation has a big pro, and two big cons, when compared to vaginal sex.

                    The Pro

Masturbation is a rough activity when compared to vaginal intercourse, in that the tightness of the hand is often tighter than the vagina. Which means that masturbating will generally teach a man control of his own level of arousal. When you get too 'excited' during vaginal sex, slow yourself down as you would when you are trying to draw out the masturbation experience. Masturbation gets you familiar with yourself and allows you a certain degree of control and understanding over your sexual longevity and endurance.

                    The Cons

                    1. Masturbation can often teach a man ways to come as quickly as possible, which isn't advisable in the bedroom. And the warm, wet feeling of a vagina can be an over-stimulating experience for someone who isn't used to it. But this isn't always the case.

                    2. The fact that the grip of a hand is often tighter than the grip of a vagina can mean that it can make you less aroused during sex and there's a possibility of not feeling the same sensitivity.

                    The Kicker

In all honesty, as long as you pace yourself and keep a good perception on how close you are to ejaculation and how aroused you are, you should last sufficiently long enough to please your woman. The feeling of a vagina, soft and wet, which is a totally new experience for you, means that it will be likely to keep you aroused and stimulated regardless of how tight your hand grip is during masturbation.

vaginal sex is a fantastic experience when it's good and when both parties are well aroused and stimulated by it, but try not to focus too much on that act. For women, sex is largely about the emphasis you put on making her feel secure, wanted and aroused, but also stimulated and desired. learn about foreplay and find out what she likes.

Women generally love animalistic, passionate sex. That isn't a one-fits-all formula, and it would pay to understand what this woman desires as an individual, but it's usually a pretty safe bet. Just don't get too carried away; be sensitive to her reactions, you don't want to hurt her.
