I dont' know if this has any bearing or not, but I had a D&C a couple of months ago. Upon trying to have sex last night with my husband, it hurt too bad. Not a cramping hurt or a his penis was too big hurt but it burned like he was on fire! I couldn't stand it. And I was "ready". It burned for about 10 minutes after I asked him stop.

Any ideas?

I'd go back to your gynaecologist and ask them. This seems like something that requires visual inspection and they will know more about the D&C.

Could be related to hormones from the pregnancy. Also, I've noticed from waiting to heal plus hormones after pregnancy causes a feeling like that.. a lot of lube can help a bit.. but having sex often(rather than avoiding it) helps to bring things back to a more normal feel. Each time it usually hurts less for me.

I have an appointment to see my regular dr. for a pap next week. Hopefully I won't have to see my gyn, he has a long waiting list and is $$$ (and I still owe them money from the D&C). By the way, I wasn't pregnant, I was bleeding after menopause. Had a good little cancer scare but all was fine.
