Swollen after fingering and oral sex

    Hey all,

Long story short, after receiving oral sex and being fingered pretty roughly last night, I felt my labia (inner and outer) and clitoris swell up. It feels uncomfortable to walk or sit down, and today it doesn't appear the swelling went down.

There was no penetration and I've never had an STD before so I don't think it could be that. I've also had sex (vaginal, oral) before and it was never that rough so I felt comfortable afterwards. Is it normal for your vagina to swell after someone is pretty rough? How long until it goes back to normal?

    Thanks!

I've never experienced swelling like you described. Sure I've been sore for a day or so after rougher sex but that's was it. If it hasn't improved soon I'd call your doctor to get checked out. Could be an allergic reaction to something or an abrasion that could get infected.

I would think oral by itself should not cause swelling unless there was some infection that was transmitted. However, a human mouth is supposed to be a Petri dish of bacteria. More likely, there may have been cuts due to rough fingering. These cuts could be very small. Guys (or women) should be careful about fingering too roughly unless past experience has shown it to not be a problem. Use lube and possibly plastic glove (or even a condom) if a finger is too rough.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

It will be good practice if your partner uses quality surgical gloves for your next sessions. Ask your partner to use a Listerine based mouth wash just to ensure no bacteria are transferred. If it still persists certainly consult a gynecologist.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I went to my GYN yesterday afternoon and they're doing a test just to be sure there's no infection. Fingers crossed -- STI? Ain't nobody got time for that.
