Preparing for my first time in the bedroom :)

    Hiya Guys,
    I really need help.
I'm 19 and have not yet lost my virginity but I'm coming up to it. The man Is a bit older than me and I'm not sure about anything regarding his "package" and what he has?
I'm having a few pre-event nerves which is causing me to invent things that could go wrong in my head. What if it all goes wrong? What if he can't get in? What is a hymen?

Please help me girls i need some advice and tips

    Thank you
    Xxx

Many if not most women lose their virginity to their boyfriend or husband and have had times of exploration before getting down to having sex. Has that not happened?
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

The man in question is not my boyfriend more of a really good "friend". I have had some exploration but never just gone all the way to sex. I've always put it off really as when I comes to sex I have always gotten quite nervous about everything.

Kiki, do you have any girlfriends or older sisters who you could talk to? Also what country do you live in if I can ask? You seem a little light on the basics like stuff about hymens and genitalia - did you never get educated about all that in school?

Last thing, what is the nature of this encounter? Older guy who is not your boyfriend combined with you being a virgin ....how did that plan happen to come about? Sorry to be nosy that way but are you sure you even want to do this yet?

Sex with a lover is enhanced by the emotional attachment and that helps a person's body get ready for the actual sex. That being said, an attentive friend should be able to get you fully aroused if he spends his time wisely. You and he should spend a lot of time on foreplay, especially for you. This will get your body more accommodating for penetration. If you can get to orgasm once or several times prior to penetration it may help. If needed, use store bought lubrication to make things easier.

As far as his size, you could ask him. Normal length is in the 5 to 6 inch range. I believe normal girth is about 5 inches.

There is a possibility that he won't be able to get in or it might take a long time to achieve full penetration. You being relaxed will help with this. I've never taken a girl's virginity, but some descriptions have indicated that some guys do a quick thrust after partial penetration to break the hymen. Don't force things if the pain is too great. Some women report significant pain. Others report very little or no pain.

The hymen is a membrane (skin like) inside the outer part of the vagina that usually partially closes off the vaginal. It does not completely close the vagina off as menstrual flow still has to come out. It is usually thin enough that it can be torn by sex or even other things like horse riding. In a few women it is thick and strong and has to be surgically altered to allow full penetration.

Is there a reason you want to get rid of your virginity? Curiosity? Awkwardness? Other? I understand curiosity and awkwardness as I didn't have sex for the first time until I was 25.

Thank you everyone for your advice,,
Jen1447 I live In England and when I was in school I did not get much sex education. Hence why I do not have much knowledge as you said. As for how this happened he does not know that I am a virgin and he's just a friend I can totally trust him. But i am sure that it is something I want to do.

I think the reason why I'm at the stage now for wanting to loose it is like Jns said a lot curiosity and a bit of awkwardness but more curiosity at the moment.

kiki, what are you doing to prevent pregnancy and disease. I'm not saying that these things are a given, but like most things, a little prevention can save a lot of regret if you are unlucky.
