What's the problem?
I'm 18 years old I've been sexually active since I was 15 and I'm not getting wet like I used to when my boyfriend and I have sex...even with foreplay before hand. I've been on the Desogen bc pill for almost a year now and before that I was on the NuvaRing and I don't remember having this problem then...this has been going on since August of 2013 I have tried to google it to see if there is anything I can do besides use lubricant because I have always in the past been a very very naturally wet person and all I can find is menopause (I highly doubt it's that due to how young I am)...could it be my birth control? I need any help or advice this is causing a lot of stress and tension in my relationship thank you -
There are many things that can contribute to lowered natural lubrication, that's why there are a ton of lubricants out there. It's possible that it's the B/C but it could be stress, it could be that you're not taking in enough fluids, like I said there are MANY causes. Talk to your GYN and if there aren't any physical problems, you'll just need to embrace the KY or Wet until your body gets it's own lubrication stream running again. -
Use of store bought sex lubricant should take care of the lubrication problem and allow you to investigate why you are no longer getting wet.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

18 is still pretty young and I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that you're still experiencing some hormonal changes. Perhaps something has changed that makes your body react differently to the BC you're on? That's an issue that a decent OB/GYN should be able to easily address.
Why do you say it is becoming an "issue" in your relationship?Comment
