    bondage, good or bad?

My boyfriend and I have been trying some new things in the bedroom, and for those who have read any of my other posts, you already know were talking of some other things well my boyfriend is currently out of town, and we have been talking a lot through text message, and it has brought forth some questions..
We have talked, and talked, and TALKED, about him tying me up, or bondage ideas. The thought arouses me tremendously! I have no doubt that I will enjoy it the day he finally comes home with something to tie me up with. We have hand cuffs, and he holds me down from time to time, and I love it! But what has caught my attention is the fact that I absolutely love it when he has his hand near, or around my throat. He never uses force to hurt or even remotely make it so that it cuts off my breathing. (And hes been my best friend for 8 years so I trust him with my life)
Is anything like this weird? Haha, I mean I have heard stranger fetishes, and am sure others enjoy such activities too. But is sex like this truly healthy for our relationship?

In a relationship of love and trust, not much that you both enjoy can fairly be said to be "unhealthy".

With that being said, does anyone have any tips or ideas for us?

You and my SO are a lot alike. She loves when I kiss her with my hand around her throat. At first, it weirded me out a bit -- especially because she had been physically abused as a teenager. But we talked it out and it works for us. We have safe words and actions (if she pushes a nail into my wrist I would let go), but I never seem to do it as hard as she wants (in fact, she often pushed on my elbow for me to grip a bit harder). It is really not unsafe and it drives her sexually crazy. So, in that respect, go for it.

As for bondage, there are lots of things of suggestions. Under the mattress cuffs are very handy because they will stay in position and have both wrist and ankle cuffs (all latched with velcro). Over the door cuffs are also nice for hotel rooms and for some play-acting. If you want to invest in some good sex pillows, google "liberator shapes". They have several lines of fantastic angle pillows, platforms etc, some plain and others to use with bondage equipment. They are very well made.

Have fun. And yes, ANYTHING that will keep the intimacy between you very strong is healthy for a relationship. It demonstrates trust and love.

If it's something you both enjoy and you have complete trust and have a safe word if you want things to stop - then just enjoy it. My partner loves putting his hand around my throat, or even looping his belt around my neck - and I enjoy it as well. It's never done at a stage where there's a chance he'll lose control and I always have the ability to slide a hand inside if Ineeded to. Talk about it. Have a plan for how to play safely - and enjoy!
