    gynecology question - odor

Soooo Ive never done this but ill try and explain it as easy as possible -
Im 20 years old, and whenever me and my boyfriend have sex there is this horrible odor. Its very fishy and just nasty. Im self conscious about it cuz it never use to be like this. It started a couple days after we had a three-some which was almost 6 months ago. Could that have anything to do with it? He says I just need to douche (never done that before either) and use like that feminine body wash u know? What do u think? How can I get rid of this horrible odor cuz girls u know its a turn off

Sounds like bacterial vaginosis. You need to go to a doctor for medication. It won't go away on it's own.If it keeps coming back your sexual partner will need to be treated as well.

Is there a planned parenthood in your area? You can get an exam there on a donation basis.

Your guy should also see a doctor to see if he is carrying whatever you have. If you get treated, and he has something that doesn't get treated, he can pass it right back to you, and the problem will persist.

Sounds like BV or Trich. There has to be a clinic somewhere you can go to, where money is not an issue. You can't ignore your reproductive health - any untreated infection can travel upward and cause a lot of damage in the long run. The only thing you can buy over the counter is yeast infection medication - most other things need a prescription.

            Please go get checked.

how old are you? not going to the gyno is not always a good thing at a certin age you should have an exam every year specially if you are sexually active. there are alot of things out there that you can get that they can only find out about from a visit to the gyno. take sourpuss's advice find a planned parent hood you need to see a doctor. alot of hospitals also if you do not have the money they have something called charity care or along those lines that can help pay for doctors bills for you. check into cause in the long run it will be better for you and maybe cheaper cause if it gets worse it could mean more money pain out by you.

Yeah superwoman, had that problem back in the day and bacterial vaginatis sounds about right. You need to find a free clinic like herman keefer. Douche could make it worst and spread the infection even further in you. You probably get something like flagyl or some other type of antibiotics.
