I have always had trouble with my periods. In April i went to my primary who sent me to get an ultra sound. I went to see an OBGYN for the first time due I to irregular bleeding. The ultra sound came back that I had a growth on my uterus. I had my first pap and she did a biopsy, and removed the growth without telling me.
I went home and thought I was going to die. I was in so much pain I couldn't see straight. I had huge shooting pain in my back even down to my legs. I didn't know what to do. I went back to the OB and I saw a male doctor who did another pap two days after the first one and told me I had an infection. He put me on antibiotics.
The next day I was feeling no better at all. I went back again. Another pap and the third doctor said I was fine, I wasn't infected, the second doctor at all, and the pap from the first visit had come back clean and a polyp had been removed. I had another ultra sound that day.
So in about 2 weeks I had two ultra sounds and three paps. This was in April and sex has never felt the same. It's extremely painful and I'm sore the entire next day.
I went back to the doctor Wednesday who did NOT do an exam thank god. She did tell me that it sounds like I have an inflammatory infection and that I have nerve damage from all the procedures. She was shocked that it had all been done so many times and in such a short amount of time. She said I was never given time to heal. But she also mentioned again that I was mistreated and I had not had an infection.
Does any of this seem right? I don't know what to do next. I keep getting turned around and I just want my sex life and regular life back on track. I feel like I've almost stumbled into malpractice. I need advice.
