Electric shocks after sex
Over the last couple of years ive started feeling these little shocks in my legs and butt after i orgasm. They are like gentle electric shocks and flicker across my legs for a few minutes, they seem fine but ive not been able to see if anyone else has these? Are they after shocks?

Welcome to WH Interactive Forums. Orgasms result in rhythmic contraction of certain muscles including some in the butt. Much of what is happening is in the brain and the muscle response is a symptom of it. My guess is that part of your brain is causing the orgasm muscle contractions that sensing nerves in that area trigger on and your brain is interpreting what you your sensing nerves sense as gentle electric shocks. I don't see any problem with this situation.Over the last couple of years ive started feeling these little shocks in my legs and butt after i orgasm. Are they after shocks?I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, Virginia -
Ellanora I'm no doctor or medical expert, but in my opinion, i think you have nothing to worry about. Our bodies can do some strange and amazing things, especially when we are in the throws of passion. Even i experience some pretty strong involuntary muscle spasms; when receiving BJs, my right leg will shake like crazy and i have absolutely no control over it. So unless it's causing you pain, distress, discomfort, or displeasure, then you should be just fine. If it is, then definitely get it checked out. As an alternative, try to consider if it happens every time you cum no matter what, or does it happen only under certain conditions, and make necessary adjustments from there. Good luck!Comment

It sounds like muscle spasms of some sort. Actually, what you describe (at least to me) resembles exactly what I would feel sometimes after a very long or intense bike ride — only I'd experience those same "electrical" shocks largely in my thighs. Essentially, from lengthy exertion/use of those muscles followed by the release (rest/end of the workout). It'd last a few minutes or as long as 15, and then they'd stop on their own.
When this has occurred, has it been consistently (always) or do you notice it more during those times when you've done more of the "work" during sex? (Meaning, you're exerting a lot more physically during the activity?)
It could also be the result of just tension in those muscles during sex, and following the release (orgasm), you're experiencing that same type of electrical shock sensation that can occur post-workout.Comment
