    Female Dominance

Being the dominant partner is something that has just sort of crept up on me in our relationship. I was always happy to take a back seat in the early days. As our relationship has progressed I’ve became by far the more dominant partner, both in day to day life and in the bedroom. My partner regularly tends to my needs sexually without anything in return. He picks up the majority of work around the house as well. Recently things took another step when we involved another man in the bedroom. We both enjoyed this, but as it was a new experience, I’m not entirely sure how to go forward with this? Does anyone else involve others in the bedroom?

Hello Rachael95 and thank you for sharing. Regarding your comments about being the dominant one in the relationship, trust me, it can become tiresome over time. There has to be a fair share across the spectrum. And it won't be 50/50 all the time. Sometimes it's 80/20 others will be 20/80. It just depends on what the subject and nature of your relationship is. But the point is to communicate with your partner. If it gets to the point where you are unfairly carrying the bulk in any aspect of your relationship, then you and your partner need to communicate and reassess.

As for inviting someone else into the bedroom, I've personally never done it while I've been married or in a committed relationship. But if it's something both you and your partner enjoy, then go for it. However, there are some tips I've heard of that will help ensure an enjoyable experience.

1 - You and your partner set the rules. Determine what y'all are or aren't comfortable with. This can range from who the third will be to individual sex acts. There can be some compromise here, but get to a common ground.

2 - Have a few people in mind just in case anyone isn't interested.

3 - The third person should agree to your terms. Not to say their input isn't important or shouldn't be taken into consideration. But the rules you and your partner set take precedence.

4 - Don't freak out. There may be something that happens in the heat of the moment that wasn't planned for. If so, stop, address it, then collectively decide to continue our not.

    Good luck.
