Can i have sex without condoms...

Hello - I have been married since last 5 years and i have a 9 month old son.... I dont breastfeed anymore and Lactation is stopped. When i delivered my doctor had suggested me not to have sex without condoms for a year as there are chances of pregnancy.

My question is now i dont lactate and my periods are also back to regular / normal... so can i have sex with my husband without condoms on safe days or do i still need to wait?
    Please suggest.

    Thanks,
    Richa

Do you want to get pregnant again? If not, I would use some form of birth control, condoms or at the very least spermacide no matter where you are in your cycle.

Unless you want to get pregnant again, I wouldn't. Use a diaphragm, sponge, take a pill, whatever you need to do, but honestly, the condom is the most sure-fire way not to get pregnant.

Sure, you can have sex without a condom!
But if there's a MAN involved, HE'd better have a condom...
...unless you've already picked out your favorite boy's and girl's names!

If you want to go without condoms and be as close to certain about not getting pregnant, use at least two forms of birth control at the same time as well as cycling the sex days. Remember sperm can live in the vagina for several days after. Probably it is best to follow your doctors advice.
