    Does she need to squirt?

My wife and I have only ever had sex doggy style once, and only a few other from behind positions a few times. She doesn’t like it. She says it’s because it feels like she needs to wee. I’ve suggested this may be a squirt sensation (which I have no clue about, just thought perhaps this is the beginning sensation of squirting), but she is adamant it’s not. I know many women love the doggy position, including previous partners of mine. I guess my question is, for those women who squirt, is this what it feels like? Or am I simply pushing against her bladder or something? Thanks for the help and sorry for the ignorance!

Hi there and welcome to the Forum!

I can only speak from my own experience on this, but for me, yes the orgasms I have that result in squirting tend to feel like I'm going to pee. But also G-spot orgasms (which are rare for me - and many people) also make me feel that way and don't always lead to a squirting orgasm, especially if I've gone to the bathroom right before sex or haven't had a lot of water during the day.

Others can possibly speak to the anatomical side of things -- what's pushing on what -- but there's definitely some connection between the bladder and squirting orgasms.

There are contradictory studies where some say squirting is definitely urine and others say it's not *only* urine. As a long-time squirter, I know it's different from urine - at least in my experience. Allowing myself to experiment and just "let myself go" in an orgasm, which resulted in squirting, and then doing a sniff test put me at ease about the whole thing.

That being said, that's not something that can be pushed on someone. They have to be ready and willing to just let it happen and see what happens, and that's not true for everyone. I know plenty of people who know they're a squirter and hate it (for all kinds of reasons).

If she doesn't like it, she doesn't like it. It's possible that one day she may be willing to let herself go with the sensation and find out what happens. But that'll have to be her decision when she's ready (if she ever is).

I have also read lots of information on squirting being urine but as someone who has (and Enjoys) had women squirt on my face, it's definitely not urine.

I have tasted urine from the same woman on multiple occasions. Urine is not all the same. Sometimes is very salty. Sometimes it is earthy. Sometimes it has a very dank, sour flavor. Sometimes it is dank, sour and salty. Sometimes it is a lot milder. What is interesting is that one time it was none of the above, just relatively flavorless warm water. That time I tried to find a description that was other than flavorless water but I could not. I have never been with a woman that squirted but some tests would be inadequate in telling if what is coming out is urine given the vast variation in the content of urine.

I obviously did a google before asking the question - a lot of the answers which came up were mixed in answers, from squirting is urine, to, well, it's not! Although, it was hard to find the answer to my specific question. I certainly don't want to push it on her to squirt, my question was more for my own curiosity than anything else, really. She does orgasm without squirting so there no real need, I guess? But, is an orgasm more intense when squirting?

We actually cover this a few times on our site.

I hope you’re sitting down for this: Yes, yellow squirt is pee. That said, all squirt is pee to some degree but can also be comprised of female ejaculate.

I think the article posted above does a great job of explaining how squirting works, though I do wish there was more research on it. As far as me, I definitely feel like I need to pee really badly before I squirt. I squirt from all physical stimulation, though I do often have orgasms in my sleep that do not involve squirting, though they do sometimes make me feel like I need to pee as well.
