Hi bunnypop, and welcome to the WHI forums!
Pregnancy can cause veins in and around the vagina/vulva to enlarge — but it's hard to know for certain what's causing it in your case, not being pregnant.
It could be related to increased blood flow to the groin, circulation issues that are causing blood to pool in veins in and around the groin, or something else entirely. It could also be genetic, as far as vein size goes (being more noticeable), especially if you have varicose veins (or they're common in your family).
Is there any pain, redness, or other swelling?
It might be a good idea to make an appointment with a gynecologist (one of your friends may have a recommendation for a local doctor they trust and like), just to have an examination.
If anything is not as it should be, they'll be able to diagnose and treat it. And if there's nothing wrong, then your mind will be put at ease — either way, I think it's a good idea to see a gynecologist just to be sure.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I definitely plan on seeing a gynecologist but I wanted to see if anyone had ideas of what it could be so I had any sort of clue before walking in there.. but i’m not sure what it could be. there is only 1 vein that is purple. No pain or swelling or redness but I have been experiencing a twitching (?) or some sort of spasm feeling in my lower stomach along with bloating in my whole entire stomach which I’m not sure is related or not.Comment
