When I said "I laugh", I am more refering to the logic and reasoning of such persons. The ability of people to rationalize and link their position to fit whatever ends while it's a lose or nonexistent thread makes me scoff.
I see your point CW about living in 2000s, like a bride wearing a white dress to her wedding even if she not a virgin or has been married before. And I do actually think myself as progressive. At least progressive in the company that I keep with. However, I do believe that purity is the heart of the matter when we talk about virginity, male or female. Not necessarily pure of mind, (I think that would be an impossiblity) but pure of physicality.
