me too
I can so emphatise with you rosalee ,im in similiar sitaution,i love my boyfriend and i know he loves me and though i know he is not or has not cheated on me the thought obviously has entered my head.
ive been with my bf for 2 years now and yes at the start it was great but in past 6mnths he is just not interested in having sex at all ,lucky if its once a mnth now which is really fustrating and doing alot of damage on my confidence etc, before i met my boyfriend i was bulmic after coming out of bad relationship and now it has started again, feels like its the only part of my life i have control over..
at the start when i would talk with my boyf about this sex problem he would get angry and refuse to talk but the other day i said we should break up for while or something(though i really did not want to) he broke down and said he is going to really try and he does not know what is wrong with him only he just has not been interested in sex the past 6mnths but that he loves me and is still very much physicially attracted to me..
now its been 2 days since that chat and we have not seen eachother to even have sex but im going to give it a try at least if we do end up breaking up(which hope does not happen) we can walk away saying that we gave it a shot and it just did not work out...im just scared of what breaking up could do to me and i really dont wana be without him but i dont wana have to end up cheating on him or him to wake up one day and see me as a friend or vice versa....dunno what to doComment

I went through the same thing. At first I was angry at myself. Have I let myself go? Am I no longer appealing? Is he sick of me and seeing someone else? Then I started to clue in that he was acting depressed. Moody, crabby, just asexual... I got to the point where I was just about begging him for sex and he was just going through the motions for me like I was a chore... Not good for the ego... This went on during a time where he was having (unrelated) problems with impotence. Well that was easily figured out (His BP meds) and he went on Viagra but... Still no sex. Still him acting poorly. I started to get angry at him. His Doctor said he was "probably" depressed but did some tests and they showed he had low Testosterone (Hormones) and his doctor put him on Hormone replacement. For a while nothing. Then WOW! The smiling wonderful guy I married came back. It took a while juggling the HRT to get it right but after a while not only his energy but his sex drive (and brain!) came back. Its like...... Great... And all I can suggest is you suggest that his doctor check his hormones and thyroid. *Both can ruin male sex drive. Men are not supposed to be asexual. Oh! And his "depression" went away when he went on Hormones. In his case the depression was not the normal mental kind but came from his hormone problems."Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got." ~ Janis JoplinComment

I think being honest but kind is always the best way. You don't need to make up a big excuse or explain yourself too much. Something simple like “I...
