Why do I throw spanners in the works?

I wish him the best and hope he finds what he is looking for because to be honest I dont know that he will ever find another girl like me that was willing to accept all of his sexual confusion. Maybe he will.

Got trashed one night and decided he was going to figure out if he wanted to be with a guy with me involved or without. He says it was to check himself if the turn on was about the him or us doing something together.

You also need to note I think anyway, that you gave him the courage to explore in his mind his sexuality, knowingly that you would be there.. That is a beautiful gift.

I still think regardless of alcohol, if he wanted to find out if he wanted a man in his life or a woman, doing it WITH you would have resulted in the same conclusion.

I suspect however, "he is confused" and perhaps he felt he needed to find out for himself and is telling you the truth, ashamed? embarrased? what if he didn't actually want it after all? better not to bring a third party into your lives?

All things are possible.

I think finding out "who you are" is a trial and error thing, it can't be solved purely through the mind.

The reality is, take the cheating out, is that he is still "confused" as to where he will end up, with a woman or with a man, or a man can remain just fantasy but he wants to be with a woman, or , he can never be committed because he wants both..

I bet in addition, he "knew" you would do this FOR HIM, but for how long? And, did you really want to?

So, I am just saying, the alcohol may have been his excuse, but finding out unfortunately may have been his only option, so he took that opportunity to find out, for him and for you.

Don't take it as hard as you are, he didn't deliberately find someone attractive, get drunk, sleep with them because.

I think, he had it in his mind twerling like a string, do i don't i, what do i want, what does she want, that it ate at him and he needed an answer.

Not excusing him but just reading into his actions.....

I suspect from your posts that he still does want a threesome, now, after that year, so all he found out, is that he is not gay, rather bi.

But, at least you know and he knows.
