Romantic movies that boyfriend will like also?
We have trouble agreeing on movies. For the most part, when i was to watch a movie, i want a comfort movie to make me feel all warm and fuzzy. He wants one that isn't frustrating and has an interesting story without the "stupid decision characters". He gets very frustrated with the romances where someone cheats on someone, or a character makes a dumb decision, and fixes it through the entire movie. He doesn't like the sad ones where the significant other dies at the end either, mostly because it makes him feel like crying, and he wants to get happy from watching movies with me, lol. Any good deep romances out there that might be good? Or even action movies with a sideplot of romance? Thanks -
I'm a guy, so take the advise accordingly.
I'd say the only genuinely interesting romance films are not western. They are forumulaic, predictable and thus boring.
Spring, summer, autumn, winter and spring. - Korean film about the life of a monk living on a floating temple in a lake. Very moving, very thought provoking and leaves you thinking about it long after the credits have rolled.
3 Iron - Another korean film, about a man who lives in other peoples houses while they are away (without their knowledge), he meets a woman and their journies join. There is very little spoken dialogue and all is told with meaningful cinematography. I love this film.
Ditto - Another korean (I know, I know) romance, with a slightly paranormal twist. As usual for eastern cinema, it is understated, and different from what you expect.
Irreversible - French. Perhaps it's better you don't watch this, it isn't a love story per se, but is a study of human character, relationships being involved. Parts of this film are truly horrific, and no film I know will affect you like this one. A very uncomfortable but very rewarding film.
Lost in translation - American... Many people hate this film, many love it. It is a slow romance, not obvious, and feels like the real (if surreal) world, you aren't bludgeoned to death with sickly romance. Even if you're boyfriend is bored he can still watch Scarlett Johansons delicious body and enjoy himself.
Foot loose - American. how to make a rubbish standard love story entertaining? Have a Patrick Swayze dancing to fight conservative christians and throw in a game of chicken with tractors (really quite a stupid film, but I was laughing all the way though).
That's enough for now. -
That's Kevin Bacon in Footloose, not Patrick Swayze.
My boyfriend liked Memoirs of a Geisha. Really good movie.Well some people say that you shouldn't tempt fate, and for them I can not disagree. But I never learned nothing from playing it safe; I say fate should not tempt me. I take my chances.Comment

Die Hard is an awesome series. It's got a lot of car chases, explosions, and saving the world ... and John McClane is doing it all to get his wife back. It's not so sweet that it's sickening; he spends a lot of time being sarcastic and cavalier about it.
I don't think that there are any sex scenes, though. Just some very-anticipated hugs.<center><i>Nature gives us shapeless shapes,<br>Clouds and waves and flame,<br>But human expectation is that love remains the same,<br>And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.</i><br><a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/register.php">Register</a>|<a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/members/little.html">Contact Admin</a>|<a href="mailto:support*womens-health.com?subject=Forum Contact">Email Admin</a></center>Comment
