    It was mentioned before.

Try and picture how you would feel if someone was prying into your personal business. Put yourself in the other person's shoes so you can see what you are doing from a different perspective.

Would you like it? Would it make you feel good? Would you feel close to that person?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Another late response, but oh well

I can admit (and people here can clarify) that I've succumbed to snooping a few times, and it doesn't do any good. At all. It wasn't even because I didn't trust my boyfriend, it was because I didn't trust a girl he knows. But regardless of who the issue is with... it doesn't matter. If he finds out, he's not going to be thrilled and that will probably be that. Plus it's VERY easy to misinterpret any little thing, if there even is anything. That's the problem with snooping. There's most likely nothing to worry about... but if you look for something hard enough, you're going to find it, whether it's accurate or not.

Did your boyfriend give you any reason to feel like you had to snoop in the first place?

the problem is often interpretation of data. if you have a jealous mind, anything is "evidence". i can remember my ex-husband accusing me of being up to something, because he went out drinking every night and i never objected, so obviously i wanted him out of the way. and because i never wanted sex with him i had someone else.

ps i didnt object because he was a pain in the buttocks to have around, not because i was boffing other men! for reason i didnt want to have sex with a stinking drunk - go figure!

I've always felt that when you feel you need to snoop you might as well give up on the relationship - you will eventually find something and you have already lost trust.
