First loves, "always" have a hold until your "second love" whom is better and funnier and more loving, etc, comes along and that could happen at any time.
The First love, "loves" the fact that their ego is in check, they have the girl and they have you, can't ask for more can he?
You need to realise the longer you "hold on to this guy" the more "sick in the stomach" you will eventually feel, as you will feel used at some point, those butterflies will go. And, the longer your prolonging finding someone else that you can call yours...
I know I'd prefer to feel "powerful" that I said, pftttt... the end babe. And, live with that, than the other way around.
Get your mind set on this... you'll feel more in control, stronger, and able to move to the next love of your life, whilst making him feel that he lost, his ability to lie and whoo you and keep you in the background so you can't move on.
