Ever break it off with someone because....

it was going so good that it freaked you out?

No, but people who do that... seriously need to consider ways to ensure that that doesn't happen again!

But when I first started going out with my current boyfriend, I actually pulled him over to the side one day when we were walking down the street and said, "Listen, you are really, really nice to me. And I sort of don't know how to handle it. Should I just... take it?" to which he said, "... Yes."

Never ended the relationship, but I HAVE gotten freaked out over it. Not in a way where I didn't like it, but that it's not something I was used to.

It's much like Mes said, my current boyfriend is so good to me it's crazy, and he has been from day one. And for a while, I was constantly thinking "This is too good, I don't know what to do with this". I didn't ever think it was something I would have to adjust to, but it was. The thing that snapped me out of it was when my ex roommate asked "Don't you think he's TOO nice?" and I thought, well that makes no sense. If he treats me this well all the time, without being a total clinger, what could be bad about that?

Nope....because I would always find a way to make it go bad before breaking it off so then I'd have an excuse. lol.

Bah! That's what I do. What the heck is wrong with us!?

When ever I get really excited about someone, all the thoughts of things that could go wrong creep in to my head. (I'm sure based on past, crappy relationships) And my mind just runs away with it and I just shut down, thinking "Well, it's only a matter of time before this goes bad so why keep trying and liking this person more and more all the time?"

            Ugh!

It's easy to fall into that, If it seems too good to be true, thinking. But there are some really good people in the world. Sometimes you have to let go of paranoia and embrace Pronoia (the belief that the world wants to shower you with blessings)

Maybe it's also a fear that if things do go wrong eventually then it's gonna hurt even more because everything was so great at one point?
