One of the best gifts I ever got was a CD, it was a favorite that I had on vinyl and had recorded on a cassette. The record had been destroyed and the tape wasn't the best quality, that and it wouldn't last forever. He had to order it from the UK as it wasn't available in the US. It showed real thought and caring. -
My boyfriend is really good at giving unique gifts (in 2 yrs he's never given me jewelry). I work with Arabic, and he gave me a really cute camel stuffed animal- I love it. He's also gotten me some dubbed movies/shows like Spongebob in Arabic (very funny to watch). Every Easter he hides a basket for me, and that is pretty sweet. 8 months ago we had to move apart, so he gave me a webcam and headphones and helped me set up skype. He sends me flowers sometimes and always has them when he picks me up from the airport. I love the way he gives gifts because they are always quirky and meaningful at the same time.Comment

Honestly, I must say that if a guy gave me a gift of most of the things listed here, I would be ****ed. I mean really, chocolate? Hearts? Pillows? Candles? I don't need "things" that I'll loose or give away eventually. I like gifts that I will actually use. The worst thing someone can get a significant other is a gift card. That's basically saying "well I know nothing about you, here's 20$"
I've gotten cookbooks, a wallet, and a dart board. My favorite gifts!!!Comment

He knows I love a lingerie store around here, so he gave me a few hundred dollars in gift cards there for my bday a few years ago- loved it!
Within a few months of us getting together was my 18th birthday- I got 18 roses! (and something else which I can't recall)
It's sad after 5 years of being together those are the only things I can remember.
The latest one was for Christmas and our anniversary (which is New Year's), he paid my way for our skiing trip out of the country.Comment

One of the worst gifts I ever got was a dozen roses for Valentine's Day. Only because I had always told him I didn't like roses and told him what flowers I did like. So definitly pay attention to what your SO says.“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.†- William Arthur WardComment

My bf has gotten me some books that I was interested in, wonderful chocolates, a manicure set that had tangerine(my favorite) scented cream, but the best thing he ever got me was a goddess pendant with a blue topaz (birthtone)...he got it because I used to tell him that I asked the goddess for a man, and she gave me him
